As a Chicago based, Licensed Clinical Psychologist
my treatment philosophy is rooted heavily in the Mental Health Recovery movement.
What is this? Mental health recovery is a process of change through which individuals improve their health and wellness, live a self-directed life, and strive to reach their full potential. There are several key concepts in mental health recovery that form the basis for my practice: Instilling hope, treating the “whole person,” identifying and building on an individual’s strengths, and individualizing treatment based on a person’s unique needs and culture.
Issues that can be addressed include (but are not limited to):
- Bipolar disorder
- Anxiety disorders (e.g., Panic Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder)
- Personality Disorders
- Low self-esteem
- Difficulty managing your emotions
- Substance misuse
- Stress Management
- Eating Disorders
- Work and Career issues
- Conflict Resolution
- Trauma & PTSD
- Grief and Loss
